Advanced Workplace Health & Safety Compliance Training

Supervisor Responsibilities & Due Diligence training provided by WSPS.
Individual Training Plan & Budget
Includes:
45 minute Goal-Setting Meeting between the employer and participant facilitated by GROW staff;
Custom list of supplemental training or educational opportunities to achieve the participant’s training goals;
Exclusive online portal to connect participants to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
What to Expect:
Employers and employees both have a role in the GROW Supervisory Training Program.
Employer Responsibilities:
Employers will be required to:
Collaborate with GROW Program Staff;
Help develop the individual training plan during a 45 minute goal-setting session;
Empower their candidate to implement concepts and/or best-practices introduced throughout the course of their training;
Offer workplace support to the nominee for the duration of the training program (i.e. offer flexible work hours, regular mentoring/coaching meetings, and feedback).
Employee Program Requirements:
Successful participants should be committed to:
Advance their knowledge, skills and abilities within the landscape and horticulture profession;
Attend goal-setting and online coaching sessions;
Complete the following mandatory training courses:
GROW Foundational Supervisory Course;
Supervisor Responsibilities & Due Diligence training provided by WSPS;
Complete all supplemental training courses and/or certifications specified in their individual training plan.
Eligibility Requirements:
All participants must be nominated for the program by an eligible employer.
Employer Eligibility:
To nominate a key staff member, employers must:
Provide landscape and/or horticulture services in Ontario;
Interested in advancing a key staff member;
Registered and licensed to operate in Ontario and in full compliance with all relevant legislation.
Employee Eligibility:
To be eligible for nomination by their employer participants must:
Have an interest in advancement within the organization;
Live in Ontario and be legally permitted to work in Canada;
Have regular access to a computer & reliable internet (at work or at home).
