Who We Are
With more than 3,000 professional members, Landscape Ontario is the province's premier horticultural trades association. Our mission is to be the leader in representing, promoting and fostering a favourable climate for the advancement of the horticulture industry in Ontario.
Today, landscape and horticulture employers across Ontario are facing record workforce shortages while demand for their services continues to grow. As a result, some business have had to turn down new clients because they can’t find enough skilled workers to build their team.
In response to this pressing issue, we created GROW Training for New Workers to increase the number of skilled workers in our industry.
Our Goal
GROW Training for New Workers is a government-funded employment program designed to prepare you for in-demand jobs in landscape and horticulture. GROW Training for New Workers provides professional skills and comprehensive employment support backed by Landscape Ontario’s powerful professional network.
GROW is FREE: GROW is fully-funded. That means your training and support are free.
No experience required: No matter your background or experience, you’ll get the support you need to build your confidence and your skills.
Flexible training schedule: GROW combines online and on-site training at various locations. You’ll gain access to exclusive content and events throughout your training and after graduation.
Designed and delivered by current industry professionals: Learn in-demand skills from current industry professionals and build a professional network to help you throughout your career.
GROW gets you working: GROW graduates are in demand. In fact, many participants find their first industry job before the end of their training.
GROW is available to Ontario residents who are legally permitted to work in Canada. Acceptance is subject to program availability. Read the full program eligibility and suitability requirements.
